It was so nice to help two of the most down to earth people I have ever met. Below are a few shots of their home in Howell MI. Their desire to revitalize the town and come back here to live in Michigan is truly a wonderful thing!

I thought it would be fun to post my latest dive trip photos for you. We had so much fun in Roatan. The scuba diving was phenomenal! If any of you are fellow divers out there and want to share great underwater pics and or other great dive sites, let me know. We have been throughout most of the Caribbean diving: Turks Caicos, Belize Turneffe Island, Cayman Islands, Bonaire and more. I’d love to exchange dive pics and ideas. The conductor of the orchestra is Andre Rieu from Austria. The young lady, Melissa Venema, age 13, is the trumpet soloist. Her rendition of TAPS will make your hair stand on end. Many of us may never have heard taps played in its entirety, for all of the men and women that have died for us to have the freedom we have inAmerica. Miss Venema’s rendition simply is beautiful.
Here is “Taps” played in its entirety. The Original version of ‘Taps’ was called ‘Last Post’, and was written by Daniel Butterfield in 1801. It was rather lengthy and formal, as you will hear in this clip, so in 1862 it was shortened to 24 notes and re-named ‘Taps’. Melissa Venema is playing it on a trumpet whereas the original was played on a bugle. Turn on your speakers … sit back … and enjoy it
